Schindler-Fessler studio project introduction

This semester project is called Spacecraft/Landing. It’s two parts follow two methods of practice: the abstract and conceptual process, and the physical+material realities of a site. We begun the project from the inside-out: investigating the unit of the individual desk and its context in the field of the studio, followed by an analysis of school precedents and a critical review of the uses and flows of our existing school (Archip’s current location).

After the concept reviews, begins the second phase- Landing- where the concepts and configurations from the first 6 weeks of Spacecraft will adapt and re-materialize within the given realities of the new site environment.
