Architectural Institute in Prague

All candidates for study of the baccalaureate programme at ARCHIP must furnish the following:

  1. A completed online application form, including a proof of completed secondary education (if applicable already) and a recent photo of the candidate. After the application form is received, an automated receipt email will be despatched to the contact email address in which the recipient is prompted to check the given details for accuracy and completeness.
  2. Digital portfolio of works, which will contain cover (cover page) with the name and contact email of the applicant; essay in English (motivation letter) of 400– 500 words, in which the candidate will introduce himself/herself, his/her orientation and motivation for studying architecture; - image content with brief captions - 15 A3/landscape pages (one project must not take up more than 3 pages): sketches, photographs and other artwork or designs, preferably relevant to the field of architecture.

The portfolio must be compiled into one PDF file of not more than 6 MB.
(alternatively a series of numbered JPEG in one directory .zip file of not more than 6 MB in total).

Every file/directory (photo, proof of education, portfolio of works) may be uploaded to the school’s website or emailed to . If the upload is used, please send us then also a short notification about this by email – for mutual assurance, that all data were transferred successfully. 

The admissions committee comprising faculty members and representatives of the management of the school will evaluate applications based on several criteria (presented content and style, originality and artistic distinction, formal presentation of the portfolio), and subsequently compose rankings of the candidates for study.

Only complete applications, with all appendices, will be included into admissions procedure.
