Tell us something about your country:
I am from a city located in the center of Mexico called León. My country is a big one with 120 million people along an area of 1,972,550 km2. I would describe my nation as a mix of color, chaos, biodiversity and delicious food. We are the mix of mesoamerican cultures with spanish, therefore, our streets are painted of proud and happiness. We have beaches, mountains, deserts, etc. For me being latino american means having lots of non conventional forms to solve a problem, we know how to have fun, we try to see the bright side on the things.
Some interesting facts about mexico is that we introduced chocolate, chillies and corn to the world. Mexico is one of the World’s Top 5 most bio-diverse nations on Earth. The National University of Mexico was founded in 1551 by Charles V of Spain and is the oldest university in North America. Mexico City is built over the ruins of a great Aztec city, Tenochtitlán. Mexico is the tenth most touristic country on the world. The Chichen Itza Pyramid in Mexico was named one of the new Seven Wonders of the World.
I think is really worth it to visit Mexico and I am proud of being from there.
Who is your favorite architect and why?
My favorite architect is the mexican Pritzker winner: Luis Barragán, the reason is because I really appreciate his usage of color and spatial proportions. His architecture was designed in a really simple but sophisticated way that mixed spaces with nature adding them also vibrant colors and natural materials. He will be always my inspiration for most of my designs.
Why did you decided to come to Prague?
I decided to study architecture in Europe to experiment the life in a different culture. Prague is a lovely city full of culture and amazing architecture.

Besides school, do you have another passion?
I do like a lot of things. But the ones I most enjoy are the fashion design. I have a big passion about design and I care a lot about aesthetics in general. Also I love geography because I think is very important to know in which world do we live and is interesting knowing how many cultures and cities are existing at the same time.
