How would you describe yourself in 5 words?
Sentimental, tireless, strong-minded, serene and a bit unorganised.
Tell us something about your country:
While I am very biased because I’m talking about HOME now, Jordan is full of interesting stuff! First of all, the sun is always out there even on very cold days! We have the Dead Sea which is the lowest spot on earth. It is also has many historical sites such as the Nabatean Petra and Roman Jerash which are a must visit places if you fly to Jordan! And it’s home!
Who is your favorite architect and why?
It is very hard to actually pick one and I do tend to have several favorite ones but let’s say my mood picks Rem Koolhaus now. His persistence to pursue a career he enjoys is quite interesting since he started out a journalist but felt it is not satisfying enough!
I love his CCTV Center in Beijing which is quite a landmark redefining the concept of skyscrapers. Garage Museum in Moscow is also eye catching… A very subtle building powerfully redesigned and reinstated into modern museum.
Why did you decided to come to Prague?
Prague is an enchanting romantic city! As I was looking for architecture schools across Europe, Prague’s pictures caught my attention! It is full of history and arts. Walking around Prague is like reading your favorite book over and over… it is always interesting!
Favorite place in Prague:
I guess i don’t have a favourite place yet, but definitely i love the castles all around the city.
What is your ideal approach as a future architect?
I am very interested in sustainable green architecture that is also modern or contemporary. It is actually cool to design an appealing building that can sustain itself on its own without harming the environment or actually costing a fortune to get it up and running.
Besides of school, do you have another passion?
Ballet! I am a ballerina who enjoys dancing to detach myself from reality… It’s very soothing for me… I also love to play the piano.
