Weekend Trip to Český Krumlov
When looking for a quick weekend trip to get yourself outside of the beautiful city of Prague, Český Krumlov is a fantastic place to begin your travels. Český Krumlov is a town that
is located in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. Getting there, you can take either a bus or a train that has a duration of about 2 hours and 45 minutes and costs around 175 korunas, which is quick and cheap!
The architecture of the old town and castle are from the 14th to the 17th centuries. The town is filled with beautiful Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque style architecture. Flowing
through the town is a river that is curved like a horseshoe. With the stunning architecture and the river flowing through city, Český Krumlov does not fail to provide amazing views.
A main cite that is a must see in this town is the Český Krumlov Castle. Inside the castle, there is a rococo garden, a large bridge, and the castle. There is a large tower which you can
climb to the top of that allows you to have a 360 degree view of Český Krumlov with the beautiful rooftops.
Just like Prague, there are many trdelník stands on every corner. But while I was there my family and I went to a creperie called MLS Creperie, definitely worth checking out. The menu
had both savory and sweet crepes, and they were the best crepes ever. It is easy and light for a nice stop for lunch while touring the city. Along the river there are also restaurants that have patios in the back which is a beautiful spot for a meal.
All in all, Český Krumlov is a great idea for a weekend get away trip. You will not be disappointed with the architecture and beautiful picture opportunities. Take advantage of the
cities outside of Prague and visit Český Krumlov.
