Having proper supplies is essential for an architect in order to create successful physical 3D models. In Prague, there are countless places offering a rich assortment of architectural supplies. In this blogpost we (with the help form our Workshop Assitant Jakub!) narrowed down the selection to four best spots where you are sure to find any essentials you may need!
Located in Prague 6, this is about a 30-minute tram ride from ARCHIP and located near the CVUT. This shop is open primarily for students who make models, so this is the perfect place to go for your more specialized equipment. From items like tools, cardboards and papers, pens and markers, to wood, ProModely is sure to have just about every basic item you need for any project as well!
Hornbach is a great option for buying and cutting wooden boards for your models. This company has two locations in Prague 6 and Prague 9. They’ll have anything from your basic tools to the bigger materials you’ll need to make your projects come to life.
This home improvement store is another great location to buy and cut wooden boards and has a few different locations throughout Prague. This is one of the best locations to buy basic supplies such as plywood, polystyrene, glues, and other essential materials. Here you can find all of the essential supplies listed above!
At two locations in Prague 8 and Prague 4, Bauhaus is a German company that offers name brands as well as their own line of products. This is an affordable store for any architectural supplies you’ll need. For their quality brands, Bauhaus also offers a 5-year warranty (see details here!) This option will conveniently save you some time and money having everything you need within your reach.
