Spring Activities in Prague

Spring is finally here! As the nice weather emerges, Prague becomes an even more enjoyable city. The flowers are blooming, the air is fresh, and people feel all-around happier. Here are some fun ways to enjoy this beautiful city this spring that don’t feel so touristy.
Picnic on Petřín Hill
If you haven’t seen Petřín Hill yet this spring, it’s a must! The trees are currently full of beautifully bloomed flowers. Not to mention, this is a wonderful location to enjoy the view of the city. Having a picnic here is a relaxing way to spend any free afternoon with friends and enjoy the greenery of the city.
Hike Divoká Šárka
If you like the outdoors, you’ll love to spend an afternoon walking or hiking Divoká Šárka. This is a nature reserve in the outskirts of Prague. It’s a nice getaway from the city where you can listen to the sounds of nature and relax for a bit. If you aren’t up for a strenuous hike, you can come here to explore and walk along the paved paths. If you want to take the hiking route, you can hike up to the top where there are multiple lookout areas.
Letná Park
Another place to visit in the spring in Prague, with views that let you see all of the major bridges in the city. Have a long stroll along the park with your friends and stop by the beer garden after for a casual drink. If you’re looking to exercise outside, Letná also has good paths for biking and running.
Náplavka Farmer's Market
On the East side of the Vlatva, the Naplavká farmer’s market is now open every Saturday from 8:00 am – 2:00 pm. There are endless tents for different foods, drinks, desserts, and more. After exploring the farmer’s market and buying some tasty treats, enjoy them by sitting on the edge of the sidewalk and enjoy the view of the river. I went when they had live music and it was the cherry on top of a great Saturday morning!
Enjoy the outdoors, and happy spring!
