Golden Roubík (GoRo) is our bi-annual award given in the honour of ARCHIP co-founder Martin Roubík. Martin was a prominent representative of contemporary Czech and European architecture, a man devoted to a cause of elevating the field of architecture and of its progress forwards, and a critic of stale creations and nonadaptive academia. Martin also co-founded the architecture studio Snøhetta – one of the world's leading architectural studios. This summer term, the GoRo Award Annoucment will take place on Thursday, May 23 on the third floor of DOX+ (ARCHIP) at 6PM.
GoRo is awarded to the best student and the best studio of the semester. The jury is formed by prominent members of international architecture community, who evaluate submitted projects of the students and make a final ruling to the best ones.
This coincides with an opening of an exhibition showcasing the work which the students of our four studios (GAD, Wertig/Kopecký, Schindler/Fessler and Dlesk/Duba) have created as their final projects (the exhibition will then last from Friday, January 11, 2019 until Friday, January 25, 2019, with the opening times being every day from 10AM till 6PM).
Be sure to join us for the GoRo Award Announcement as well as the Exhibition Opening to see what our students have been up to! For more information, see the poster bellow! We look forward to seeing you soon!
