Mráčková / Šimonová studio
“Cosa Studio is focused on critical and conceptual thinking and non-conform innovative solutions which could support positive social change and could improve people‘s lives, quality of public space, architecture, environment etc.
The aim of the Studio is to develop fresh ideas and approaches based on site-specific conditions and individual „basic research“ of each student. The aim is to encourage students to be open-minded, find their own fields of interests and ways of working.”
Markéta graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Czech Technical University in Prague (ČVUT) and from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (AVU), where she studied at the Emil Přikryl's School of Architecture. She has studied at Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen in Germany. She co-runs the cultural cooperative cosa.cz with Barbora Šimonová.
Barbora graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at Brno University of Technology (VUT) and from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (AVU), where she studied at the Emil Přikryl’s School of Architecture and in the Anna Daučíková’s School of New Media II. She has studied at Universitat Politecnica de Valencia in Spain and at Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. She operates within the themes of media manipulation strategies and manipulation in interpersonal relationships. Her work includes live performance, video and architecture. She co-runs the cultural cooperative cosa.cz with Markéta Mráčková.
