In September 2017, IPR opened CAMP, the Center of Architecture and Metropolitan Planning. CAMP is an open space for the public to meet people interested in the planning and development of Prague. It is primarily an information center with the goal to improve public debate on the city’s development between community members and others interested. Here, there is an exhibition hall for any short-term exhibitions and educational lectures from guest speakers. You can usually find lectures from these speakers in Czech or English, which are always great learning opportunities.
As an architecture student, this is the place to be if you want to stay up to date on Prague’s current and future architecture-related trends and ideas while also connecting with others throughout this city’s community. You can also utilize their convenient study room and library that contains both Czech and English publications from topics like architecture, urban planning, and more. It’s the perfect spot to visit if you’re looking have coffee and read over some books in their coffee shop or outdoor atrium!
